History

IAE -Integrated Applications Engineering, Inc., as a systems engineering company, has been engaged in the petroleum industry since it was incorporated in 1985. Later the same year IAE opened its Representative Office in Beijing China. Its early achievements included systems engineering design and consulting services in the area of digital telemetry seismic instruments, digital seismic streamers, and satellite navigation systems.

IAE, in cooperation with its principals, has provided state of the art products and services to the international oil industry since 1985. IAE's contribution included helping Chinese customers to import, operate and maintain a series of equipment and manufacturing facilities, some of which were first introduced by IAE including:

  • Integrated satellite navigation systems for offshore exploration
  • Portable satellite positioning system for seismic survey and grilling rig in remote and offshore areas
  • Digital radio telemetry seismic instruments
  • In-field seismic data processing system
  • Manufacture line for digital seismic instruments.

In addition to cooperating with the Chinese petroleum industry in the development of indigenous high tech equipment, IAE introduced the Chinese manufacturing and service companies to the international market place. In the 1980's IAE used our offices in Russia and India to sell Chinese manufactured seismic equipment. In 1997 IAE opened offices in West Africa for the specific purpose of securing contracts with Foreign Oil Exploration Companies for Chinese service crews. IAE obtained the first contract for Chinese seismic crews (BGP) to provide services outside of China in 1989. In 1995 IAE succeeded in securing seismic and drilling service contracts for the Chinese crews to operate in Africa. IAE also helped China National Logging Corp to win a contract for DST work in Nigeria in year of 1999. In addition to the drilling contracts consummated in West Africa, IAE was instrumental in obtaining contracts for eight Chinese drilling rigs and crews (GWDC) in Venezuela. This was the very first drilling cooperation between China and Venezuela. IAE acted as a bridge bringing Chinese drilling and seismic crews to South America.
